Red dragon is a stunning dark red caned bamboo with small delicate looking leaves.
 
Red dragon is a clumping bamboo meaning it won't run and take over the garden but instead form dense clumps of bamboo where planted and spread a maximum of 1.5m from place of planting.
 
Prefers a shady to semi shady place with good draining soil. Plenty of watering in dry periods is required as bamboo likes to drink a lot of water.

You are buying a clump of red dragon spilt from our large mother plants grown here in our growing fields. Unpotted and ready to plant out.

Young canes start green and turn red over time. Do not be alarmed if your clump turns up with green canes. They will go red over time.
